Similar to so many other kids of my generation, I grew up watching The Magic School Bus. I’m not quite sure why, but one episode in particular has managed to worm its way into my memory, Inside Ralphie. When the titular character falls ill, the team shrinks the eponymous vehicle down in size, embarking on a journey through the various organs of his body. The same basic premise can be seen at work in Grounded . The player character is about equal in size to a small beetle, something which allows for a dramatically different perspective on the world. You quite literally see things from a new angle. I haven’t really gotten into the survival mechanics quite yet, but these vibes from The Magic School Bus have already won me over, at least for this week
I’m still on a Yakuza hiatus, but I’m done with Tales of Arise and onto the next JRPG – Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Confession time – I’ve never finished a Final Fantasy. I played (and modded) a boat load of 15 and loved it, but didn’t really have time to commit while I was juggling university, work, and the student paper. I dabbled in the older ones but never stuck around long enough, and 14’s UI gave me a headache so I went back to Elder Scrolls Online. So if there’s anything glowing I can say about 7 Remake, it’s that I’m confident I’ll finish it, because I’m adoring it so
I just witnessed Joel swear that everything he told Ellie about the Fireflies was true, which means I’m currently midway through Left Behind, and will be starting up on The Last of Us Part II this weekend. Once I get started with this series, I can’t stop. I also have Scorn, the H.R. Giger-influenced horror game, installed on my PC and am just waiting for nightfall to begin my journey past disturbingly anatomical alien architect
Mobility can be vital in this game because you can become an easy target if you stay in the same position for a long time. And when there’s a mobility requirement, Tracer is the best choice because her abilities allow her to surprise the enemy with constant movem
There are two ways to go about this: restrained, where you knock a few things over just to see if you can, and unhinged, where you attack every object in sight with every weapon at your disposal. Either way, we all do it, and it never loses its
Through proper positioning, she can also heal multiple allies, and her ultimate can both kill and heal all at the same time, making her perfect to both help your friends and push your enemies. Just don’t get too focused on fighting to the point you’re not even paying attention to your allies and their health b
Throws a bomb in the direction you’re aiming that causes a blizzard where it lands . This has a huge radius, and it freezes the enemies that stay in it for a short time . This prevents them to move or use any abilities for quite a lot of t
The move to free-to-play means that Overwatch is now in the market for a new way to make those sweet, sweet dollar bills. In Overwatch 2, introduced is the “Battle Pass,” a system that rewards your playing by unlocking certain cosmetics or entirely new characters. While all the cool stuff you can get is technically attainable through grinding, some of us can feel our patience dwindling as we consider the hours we’d have to s
That’s already cool, but it gets much better when you figure out how to mess around with it. You can use it to get awesome screenshots of your play style in action, watch the match in slow-motion, and look at all the incredible architecture without worrying about your team. And you can see where you could improve, if you’re into t
Widowmaker is widely used more as a long-shot hero, so you are less likely to be right in there laying down fire. Her assault rifle is not that powerful and has a small magazine, so is best used to just defend yourself if someone gets to you while you’re snip
The overhaul from 6v6 to 5v5 is not the only thing that changed in Overwatch 2 skins. Almost all the characters from the first game received a makeover – some large, some small. But, of course, being the completionists we are, we must look at all of them. Some of those cosmetics even help us better understand the game’s lore , so we have a perfect excuse for looking at everyth
Among Tank, Damage, and Support characters, you still have plenty to choose from, and the options will only increase more and more as you play the game. So, welcome to Overwatch, take a look and see which character fits your playst
One downside to the mine is that if it’s seen from a long distance by the enemy, they can shoot and destroy it. Also, since you can only have one mine active at once, if you shoot another mine out this will remove the previous
Make sure when you get the opportunity to use the Infra-Sight you do, as this will really help your team out when they are under pressure. The good thing about using this when playing as Widowmaker is that even if you are in spawn and miles away from the team you can pop the Ultimate, and it will show your team where the enemies are. This means even if you cannot do damage you can still help the team with the infrared to show up enem
