There are few things more demoralizing in an arena battler than watching your opponent’s massive tank completely regenerate its health bar.
Many novice players make the fatal error of focusing all their defensive damage on the massive tank, ignoring the tiny support unit standing behind it.
The Golden Rule: Kill the Support First
The cardinal rule when facing a healing or shielding composition is to completely ignore the primary tank until the support is dead.
Deploy your assassin directly behind the enemy push, ensuring it locks onto the healer before the tank can turn around to protect it.
- Use it to physically pull the healer away from the tank she is trying to heal.
- Splash damage units are decent, but often lack the burst damage required.
- If you defend it cheaply, you win the game instantly.
The Cheese Pushes
A cloned healer essentially doubles the healing output, turning the surrounding army into a literal immortal wall of hitpoints.
Hover your spell the moment you suspect a Clone play, and drop it the millisecond the blue cloning animation begins on their side of the map.
| Support Unit Type | Healing Method | The Solution |
|---|---|---|
| The Melee Healer (e.g. If you have any sort of concerns concerning where and just how to make use of tower rush, you can call us at our own web site. , Battle Healer) | Heals herself and surrounding units every time she successfully lands a melee attack | Use flying units she cannot hit, or drop a high-DPS unit directly on her head to kill her before she swings |
| Instant Burst | Jumps onto a group of units, providing a massive, instant burst of healing | Place a cheap distraction unit (like skeletons) in its path to force it to trigger early, wasting the heal entirely |
Staying Calm
Facing a massive, regenerating ‘Elixir Golem’ or ‘Golem’ push is one of the most stressful experiences in the game.
Master the backline dive, and dominate the arena.
