Rekha’s Story
A Note from Rekha
Hello — I’m glad you’re here.
“I want every patient to leave feeling heard, cared for, and genuinely better — not just treated.”
Thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about me. If you’re considering an aesthetic — whether for the first time or after years of with other clinics — I know that choosing the right person matters . I’d like to tell you who I am and how I work.
I qualified as a doctor from Manchester Medical School in 1989, and I spent the first part of my career in NHS and General Practice. I loved that work. It taught me to listen properly, to think carefully before acting, and to always put the patient — not the — at the centre of the . Those habits have never left me.
My move into aesthetic was not purely academic — it was deeply personal. For years, I my own acne rosacea through conventional routes, and for years, I was only satisfied with the results. is one of those conditions that medicine tends to manage rather than resolve, and I knew, as a doctor, that there had to be more that could be done. When I began exploring what laser treatments and cosmeceutical skincare could genuinely achieve — not just mask, but correct at a cellular level — I was both and . I attended teaching hospitals in London to and learn, and I myself in the science behind skin health in a way that had never quite . What struck me most was the profound effect that skin had on my patients’ and sense of self. That between skin health and emotional wellbeing has at the heart of my ever since. I now help many patients with rosacea, pigmentation, acne, scarring and ageing — not it is a service I offer, but because I genuinely understand what it feels like to be on their side of the .
My husband — a surgeon — accompanied me to many of those early and training . He once how it was, what could be with such precision and . I have never that .
In 2005 I began seeing a small number of patients alongside my GP work. By 2008 the practice had grown to the point where it — and demanded — my full attention. I opened Health & Aesthetics that year, and I have never looked back.
What drives me, still, is the same thing that drove me into in the first place: the chance to genuinely help someone feel better about themselves. Aesthetics done well is not vanity. It is confidence, wellbeing, and the quiet of in the mirror and like yourself again.

How I Work
My to your care
The first thing I want to know when a comes to see me is not what they want — it is what is bothering them, and why. That matters. who comes in asking for filler may need advice about skin quality. A proper consultation opens up those possibilities. A menu-driven appointment closes them down.
I take time with every . I am not a clinic and I have no interest in one. What I can offer is genuine attention: the kind of careful, considered assessment that comes from of practice, with a real of aesthetic medicine and what it can — and cannot — achieve.
I will always be honest with you about what I think a treatment will and will not do. If I something is not right for you, I will say so. I would rather lose a than do something that isn’t in your best interest. That is simply how I was trained to practise medicine, and it is how I always will.
I am also deeply committed to safety in all its forms — the I use, how I use them, and how I manage the rare occasions when things don’t go as . in do happen, even in the best hands. What is that your is trained to recognise and manage them. As a fully qualified doctor with decades of clinical experience, I am.
What Doctor-Led Really Means
Your safety is not a line
The aesthetics uses the phrase “doctor-led” quite freely. I want to be about what it means at Health & — because specifics are what protect you.
— New patients are seen by me — personally, and properly
Before a treatment plan is agreed, you will have a thorough, face-to-face medical consultation. A real clinical assessment, conducted by a doctor who takes the time to your concerns, your history, and your goals. This is the foundation of everything we do, and it is non-negotiable.
— All injectables are prescribed and by me
Botulinum toxin and many other are prescription-only . They must be prescribed by a doctor. I and administer all such personally, or under my direct oversight.
— I use only licensed, products
Every used at Health & is for use in the UK, sourced from authorised supply chains, and traceable by batch number. I am happy to show you the box. Please always ask — at any clinic.
— You will never be rushed or pressured
New patients are not on the same day as their . You will always have time to reflect, ask questions, and decide — or change your mind entirely. There is no pressure here, ever.
— Informed consent is taken seriously
Before any procedure, we the risks, the realistic outcomes, the alternatives, and the limitations. Written is always obtained. If you don’t fully understand what you’re agreeing to, we are not done .
— I am here if anything goes wrong
Complications are rare, but they can happen. What matters is that your is medically to recognise and manage them. I am. I am accessible to all my patients after treatment, and I take aftercare seriously.

What you will never find here
